Currently Working On A NEW

Communication System To Replace The

Should Be Ready Before the end of august

With less than a month to go before the season starts for the juniors and youth sections of the club  i wanted to wish you all the best for the coming season

With many exciting things planned throughout the following 8 months (charity football days, fireworks night etc) I hope we offer you something to get involved in and enjoy beyond playing or watching football

Last season you will hopefully have noticed major improvements in how we deliver hospitality to you.

We intend to keep improving the level of comfort in which you enjoy Platt Lane.

We also met our fundraising commitment to support the development of the 3g pitch.

The club now awaits the final report to be submitted for consideration to.the Football Association.for funding.

We could not have got this far without help from our landlords and Keyworth Cricket Club.

I will update you as and when plans are finalised and the funding bid is decided.

Some of you will have noticed an increase in subscriptions this year and the freeze on membership for the 10th year in succession

The increase in subscriptions is simply because of external cost increases. The low subscription rates enjoyed over the last 2 seasons were based on financial planning using data from 2015 backwards.

We chose not to pass on costs last year absorbing increases  that were both predicted or unknown as we went through 3 years of relative fiscal turbulence.

We firmly believe that with sessions costing less than £4 for any player we are great value for money. We know you will agree when what is included is:

Administrative costs such as insurance and league fees,

pitch hire

training venue costs

coach and player education.

I don't know of any other club, sport or children's activity that offers the same for this price.

So.with everything that is going off both on and off the field I look forward to welcoming you all back to Platt Lane on 1st September for the truly amazing season ahead of us.

There are also more than ten junior sides playing in the Notts Youth and Young Elizabethan Leagues and in the past few seasons we started our first ever girls team. we now have a girls team represented in the Notts Girls and Ladies League. In line with our strong emphasis on development, our senior teams regularly contain players who have grown and developed through the junior teams, and three generations of some families from Keyworth have played for our village club.
